Using a proprietary cold gelatinization process, six pounds of 80% Black Maca Roots, 15% Red-Purple Maca Roots and 5% Yellow Maca Roots are condensed into one pound of powder. Since Maca is a tuber it contains considerable amounts of starch. Organic Traditions® Maca X-6 utilizes a proprietary cold gelatinization process in order to remove the starch from the tuber without the use of high heat, ensuring that the delicate compounds are not degraded. Through this process a greater concentration of powerful phytonutrients is obtained.
